On September 18, 1787, A lady asked Dr. Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got a Republic or a Monarchy – A Republic, replied the Doctor, if you can keep it.”

I believe that if we are to keep our Republic, we must amend our Constitution or face the existential threat of becoming an autocratically controlled one-party system ruled by Socialists at best or Marxists at worst. To stop our slide toward totalitarianism, we must act now to reclaim the people’s power over our federal government before that power slips away, forever out of our reach.
