Trump, Blasted for Rollicking News Conference, Tweets on Friday, ‘Fake Media Not Happy’

by Susan Jones, CNSnews:

As President Trump predicted on Thursday, the liberal media on Friday pounced all over his Thursday news conference: “It was one of the most chaotic, rambling press conferences I’ve ever seen,” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said on Friday morning.

Scarborough added that Trump’s “hard-core” supporters weren’t laughing at Trump — “they were laughing at the media.”

Scarborough said his take-away, after speaking with lawmakers on the Capitol Hill, some of them Republicans, is: “We’re scared ****less…We’re scared to death by what we saw; and more than one said, ‘This isn’t going to last long, beccause he just doesn’t have control of reality.'”

Mike Barnicle, a regular on “Morning Joe,” said he was “watching a president of the United States who has lost his grip on reality.”

A short time later, Trump tweeted: “Thank you for all of the nice statements on the Press Conference yesterday. Rush Limbaugh said one of greatest ever. Fake media not happy!”

Over on CNN, political analyst Ana Navarro said on Friday morning she thought they’d “need a hook” to get Trump off-stage — “he was having so much fun.”

Navarro accused Trump of trying to get the media off topic. “The day before, we were laser-focused on the issue of Trump-world and the ties with Russia. Today were are here, having to unpack 77 minutes of unravelling, unhinged, unfiltered, unplugged, crazy, funny at times, substantive nuggets at times — I mean, I never thought it was possible to get whip lash from watching TV, but yesterday, I got whip lash from watching TV.”

William Bennett, who served in both the Reagan and Bush administrations, said of course the liberal media is having a collective fit: “Instead of him (Trump) being a pinata, he was doing whack-a-mole with them,” Bennett told “Fox & Friends.”
