“Clearly this was no communications satellite”? Really? Anyone wondering what was in that rocket needs to consider the enormous energy of rocket fuel. When all goes well, it doesn’t just move something into space, it literally blows many tons of mass clear into orbit. That kind of power can do a LOT of damage when things do not go well… aka BOOM!

Whether or not this was the result of some sort of advanced weapon hitting the rocket, who knows? It could have been but even in this super slow motion video, it would be difficult to say for sure. We do know that there are powerful ultra-violet lasers that cannot be seen with the naked eye. That is one possibility. Visible light lasers also cannot be seen by the naked eye unless there is dust, smoke, water droplets, or something else that interferes with the beam and makes it visible.

Perhaps a better question is, “What advantage is there to anyone in destroying this rocket and its payload?”. Knowing that could well point a BIG finger at the potential suspects.

Of course, it is also possible that space exploration, being a very dangerous business, this explosion could simply be yet another “Oh, shit!” moment. This is often the case when people are pioneers in new and dangerous areas of science and technology. Yes, we’ve been at this kind of thing for 50 or so years but we are still learning as we go.

Was it a “mystery weapon” or maybe some idiot didn’t cover a wire somewhere. Sheesh.

Ashtar’s Galactic Command warned the British people in 1977.
