Where there is smoke there is usually a fire smoldering at least below surface.

    NOTHING happens without a reason.

What one does outside is telling of what one is thinking inside.

There is a reason for this unprecedented action. I suspect we will know prior to the election.

Incidentally, here are two VERY SIMILAR Executive Orders that Barry signed on the SAME DAY as the one that Kirby discusses. If you have not clicked on to Rainmaker’s link above, you might want to do so. Here’s a preview:

    >Executive Order — Providing an Order of Succession within the Department of the Treasury

    >Executive Order — Providing an Order of Succession within the Department of Veterans Affairs

    >Executive Order — Providing an Order of Succession within the Environmental Protection Agency

I have never been one to take seriously the possibility that presidential elections would be cancelled or interrupted in some way. We’ve been hearing this for decades, but it always seemed implausible. But no longer. Circumstances leading up to this election are like no other in OUR history. This, on top of the rapidly occurring and unfolding events both foreign and domestic lead me to believe that the coming times might just make our heads spin.

And now I see there’s two more that he signed on August 12, in line with the others previously listed. Could it be they’re going through all the departments to see who’s board?

      >Presidential Memorandum — Providing an Order of Succession within the National Endowment for the Humanities

      >Presidential Memorandum — Designation of Officers of the Office of Personnel Management to Act as Director of the Office of Personnel Management

Undoubtedly, this list will be updated as they circulate through the various departments.

The BIG difference is that Kennedy did it just after entering the presidency. Changes of this nature are not necessarily uncommon for an incoming president. But with a few months remaining in Barry’s term, such changes target suspicion, especially when there’s a slew of them. The whole point of Kirby even bringing this up to begin with was the time factor.
