IT’S HAPPENING: FIRST ROBOT-POWERED BURGER JOINT THROWS MINIMUM WAGE ARGUMENT OUT THE WINDOW

from The Daily Sheeple:

Eight out of the top ten jobs that employ the majority of Americans currently have a more than 90 percent probability of being replaced by robots in the coming years. People who don’t want to open their eyes to the futuristic reality of robot job takeovers might want to look elsewhere than this article. It’s happening right now.

Via BizPacReview:

In what could be a prototype of future fast food restaurants, a burger joint in San Francisco appears to be in the works that will feature a machine that can produce 400 made-to-order hamburgers an hour — the process is fully autonomous, meaning it can slice toppings, grill a patty, and assemble and bag the burger without any help from humans, Tech Insider reported.

The machine first debuted in 2012 by Momentum Machines, but little happened until January of this year, when the company applied for a building permit to convert a retail space into a restaurant, according to Hoodline.com.

“Our device isn’t meant to make employees more efficient,” the company’s co-founder, Alexandros Vardakostas, told the tech news site Xconomy. “It’s meant to completely obviate them.”

    Wow.

Burger Flipper Skynet. Would you like FRIES with your order?

OK, I’ll be back (with your fries).

If that burger is even half as good as it looks these minimum wagers are toast. Pun intended.

Im just wondering how the robots will send in their W-4 and W-2 forms to the IRS and file their taxes…do they go to H&R Block? Do they have inheritance taxes? Estate Taxes?

Really, you dont think the govt would go without taxing the living shit out of these robots do you???

Once the govt see’s the tax revenue plummet, they will be after “the robots?”….I think not,
just the people that created them that are barfing up 1000’s of dollars…

    Money Money Money!

They’ll implement a Federal Sales Tax.

And that will be on everything.

So we’ll have higher taxes, higher unemployment and all the social unrest that brings, and higher cost for the social safety net of things like SNAP, Section 8 & Medicaid (sure sounds like we already live in a Democratic Socialist republic). But at least McDongers won’t have to raise the price of their fuud (not that they will be LOWERING it at all).

And we also won’t have to worry about the bottom tier of wage EARNERS (like single parents, college grads, displaced manufacturing job holders, you know) getting all uppity because all of a sudden they can support a household.

Yep, keep ’em poor, hungry and ignorant (not to be confused with uneducated). That’s the recipe for societal stability.
