Attacking Police and Enacting Violence Will Do Nothing to Stop Brutality — It Will Make it Far Worse

by Matt Agorist, Activist Post:

Late Thursday night, during an entirely peaceful protest, murderers opened fire on crowds of police officers. Five Dallas cops were tragically killed and six others injured.

These apparently unprovoked attacks on individuals who were not directly involved in threatening the life of the shooters are a hindrance to the progression of liberty and police accountability.

Random acts of violence will only serve to undo what little progress those of us in the peaceful movement have accomplished and, in fact, will reverse it and prevent any future progress.

Those who initiate and support such violence will be complicit in creating the hellish police state that will inevitably ensue as a consequence of their actions.

It will start a war in which the people are the enemy.

We can simply look back to 9-11 as an example of what is to come if this violence continues.

I am decidedly NOT an advocate of violence. Jesus said: “I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT.” Violence typically begets violence. “Live by the sword – die by the sword.” Having said that, I still believe the individual has the GOD-GIVEN RIGHT, to protect himself, or herself. PREPAREDNESS FOR SELF-DEFENSE (GUN-OWNERSHIP) IS A GOD-GIVEN RIGHT. It’s not a “privilege” granted by some governmental bureaucrat. And, if a COP threatens you (and you’ve done NOTHING wrong) and actually threatens YOUR LIFE ~ then, as far as I’m concerned ~ you have the GOD-GIVEN RIGHT, to protect yourself from that cop, up to, and including KILLING THAT COP! Period.

WE THE PEOPLE DO need to stop apologizing about police brutality and their acts of murder committed on our fellow citizens, just because “they have a tough job to do”.
They should’ve been aware of the dangers of the job to begin with. The dangerous nature of the job of being a cop, doesn’t grant them the right to kill someone just because they are little weenies that felt “threatened”, and decided to shoot first to kill, and then not have to ask any questions later.

There are NO DOUBT, A LOT of GOOD COPS out there across America. There are also A GOOD NUMBER OF CRIMINALS (WITH A BADGE) OUT THERE, WHO THINK THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT, BECAUSE THEY HAVE THAT BADGE.
