by Joshua Krause, The Daily Sheeple:
The Brexit vote has proven to be the first major blow to the globalist agenda. And even if for whatever reason, the UK doesn’t leave the EU over the next few years, the writing is on the wall. There is widespread and growing dissent over the EU, and the Brexit vote proved that this trend is inexorable.
That’s why the globalists are freaking out, and in some cases, are admitting that the EU’s days are numbered. That’s what George Soros admitted recently in an article written for Project Syndicate, a website backed by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. “The catastrophic scenario” he wrote “that many feared has materialized, making the disintegration of the EU practically irreversible.”
And in a stunning admission, the aging globalist said that this disintegration is the fault of the EU itself.
All of Europe, including Britain, would suffer from the loss of the common market and the loss of common values that the EU was designed to protect. Yet the EU truly has broken down and ceased to satisfy its citizens’ needs and aspirations. It is heading for a disorderly disintegration that will leave Europe worse off than where it would have been had the EU not been brought into existence.
As a globalist though, he won’t admit that this disintegration is necessary for the prosperity of Europe. He makes it sound like an EU collapse will wreak economic havoc on Europe, which it will, but only for a short time. The EU has burdened Europe with so much debt, oppression, and onerous regulations, that a systemic collapse was always inevitable. Only after that collapse will Europeans be able to pick up the pieces and get back on the path to prosperity.
Instead he suggests that the EU should be reformed. He truly believes that this messy bureaucratic nightmare can be fixed. While globalists like Soros have admitted defeat in this particular battle, they still think that they can win the war.
But we must not give up. Admittedly, the EU is a flawed construction. After Brexit, all of us who believe in the values and principles that the EU was designed to uphold must band together to save it by thoroughly reconstructing it. I am convinced that as the consequences of Brexit unfold in the weeks and months ahead, more and more people will join us.
Of course, that is wishful thinking at best. Even if the EU could be fixed and turned into an institution that better serves the people of Europe, it certainly couldn’t be accomplished by the same globalists who built that system.
