Something Very Disturbing Spotted In A Morgan Stanley Presentation

Consider this the latest, and loudest, warning on the road to digital fiat serfdom.

from Zero Hedge:

With central bankers losing credibility left and right, and failing outright to boost the “wealth effect” no matter what they throw at it, the next big question is when will central planners around the world unveil the cashless society which is a necessary and sufficient condition to a regime of global NIRP.

And while in recent days we have seen op-eds by bothBloomberg and FT urging the banning of cash, the most disturbing development we have seen yet in the push for a cashless society has come from the following slide in a Morgan Stanley presentation, one in which the bank’s head of EMEA equity research Huw van Steenis, pointed out the following…

“…the next big question is when will central planners around the world unveil the cashless society which is a necessary and sufficient condition to a regime of global NIRP.”

I don’t see that happening. Not with international trade, based on what will soon become an increasing number of currencies, and with sanctions being imposed on countries such as Russia. Unless, of course, the idea is to completely ban all foreign travel and permanently outlaw tourism. Because no matter how we look at it, foreign travel requires currency. Tourism requires currencies.

Cashless might have been possible when the dollar was the international currency but by now, it looks increasingly like an elite’s wet dream.

I agree with you Christine. Someone brought up a good point here last week. In a cashless society, what form of payment will the CIA, FBI and banks accept paid for selling drugs?

This is unrelated but, I urge my SGT friends to purchase a kerosene heater($139.00 at Home Depot. K1 is ~$4.00 a gallon. Burn time per gallon, approx. 8 hours. If the power goes out, you’ll have a way to survive the cold. In Haste.

Excellent point, however, I’ve got to believe the CIA, FBI and banks will not be scrutinized and “investigated” for any crimes they commit under an electronic currency. The scrutiny will only be used against “the little people” while the alphabet soup agencies, and the oligarchs who control them, will be free to do whatever they want. When you own the system, you get to play god.
