Jeb Bush Bows Out of Campaign, Humbled and Outgunned

by Ashley Parker and Michael Barbaro, NY Times:

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Jeb Bush dropped out of the presidential race on Saturday, ending a quest for the White House that started with a war chest of $100 million, a famous name and a promise of political civility but concluded with a humbling recognition: In 2016, none of it mattered.

No single candidacy this year fell so short of its original expectations. It began with an aura of inevitability that masked deep problems, from Mr. Bush himself, a clunky candidate in a field of gifted performers, to the rightward drift of the Republican Party since Mr. Bush’s time as a consensus conservative in Florida.

“I’m proud of the campaign that we’ve run to unify our country,” Mr. Bush said, his eyes moist, in an emotional speech here Saturday night after his third straight disappointing finish in the early voting states. “The people of Iowa and New Hampshire and South Carolina have spoken, and I really respect their decision.”

Don’t waste your “Time(s)” with the NYT. Establishment, apologist, propaganda mill for the PTB. A CYA piece for Jeb because he got his ass handed to him…

What is telling is that his backers are out $$$Millions and they are no doubt pissed.

Why would they be pissed when they have a printing press?

It is OPM… Regardless, they are not happy to waste it on a loser.

Like their campaign to depose Assad in Syria, they’ve sunk a chitload into that and it still isn’t working for them. They may actually have to engage the Russians with the US Military but that is their last resort.

I actually might have got this wrong on my matrix forecast for 2016-18. I was sure Jeb would come back just bc he would be the last one standing just as McCain did in his election. Everyone else was so badly hurt and ran out of money they had no one left but McCain.

Jeb also has the Bloodline. All presidents are related with the exception of Martin VanBuren. My my prediction is very grime for America at this point. Obama may get a third term due to some sort of crisis or Hillary will win as she was the only one pictured on the cover of the Economist Magazine. I just can’t see Trump serving the interest of the Elite in full capacity. We have to admit to ourselves these Elections are rigged.

  • Does he get to keep all the money that was raised and not yet spent?
