    This was a pretty interesting video. No coverage from CNN of course. It couldn’t have just impacted this little cove, I wouldn’t think, so there’s got to be more video out there.

    As a resident of the state of Washington, let me say that things such as this are not at all unusual here. What a lot of people around the US and in other parts of the world do not know is that there is a range of 2500-3000 foot hills that run along the coast just inland a ways. On the east coast, there are places where a 10 foot high wave can reach a couple of miles inland. Here, it doesn’t even get past the beach. A large tsunami can be a very dangerous thing but the many small ones we get here are pretty much considered as non-events, unless one is actually on the beach at the time. File these in the same category as Richter scale earthquakes in the 3-4 range… noticeable but not especially dangerous.
