from Western Journalism:
Protesters shut down Interstate 70 west of St. Louis in both directions for nearly a half an hour during rush hour traffic Monday evening.
Fox 2 News reports at approximately 5:30pm, protesters marking the one-year anniversary of the shooting death of Michael Brown put out barriers reading “Ferguson is everywhere” near the Blanchette Memorial Bridge on I-70. They then linked arm-in-arm across the highway, blocking traffic. The bridge crosses the Missouri River about 12 miles west of Ferguson.
One motorist apparently had enough and broke through the line of people, as protesters swarmed around his vehicle trying to stop him, with some pounding on the hood of his SUV.
