Over a Third of Americans Would Like to Expatriate

by Joshua Krause, Activist Post:

It’s been found that year after year, more Americans are leaving the United States and renouncing their citizenship. It’s a trend that, while small, has been seeing explosive growth. Just a few years ago only a couple of hundred Americans took that course of action. But last year, a record 3,415 Americans said goodbye to their citizenship.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic, if the “over-a-third” of Americans who supposedly would like to expatriate simply decided to stay and make AMERICA the sort of place they’d like to live in? Imagine that.

Indeed. But that’s not what’s happening, nor is it likely to happen because leaving the country and fixing it both require making a serious effort and couch-potatoes just aren’t into the effort making business.

While it is tempting to consider leaving the US, we also have to consider two other points: 1) where would be a better place?; and 2) how long would a better place stay that way? When the SHTF, it is likely that there will be a great deal of anger in many people. That anger is likely to be expressed towards anyone who is different from the average person. Immigrants are often convenient targets for such anger. Anyone here want to be a rich white guy in a very poor country where the residents do not look like him? Me neither.
