Canada’s Central Bank Orders End To Defacing of Debasing Canadian Dollar

from Gold Core:

The death of Leonard Nimoy inspired a wonderful outpouring of affection across the world, and possibly beyond.

Nimoy was best known for playing the role of Dr. Spock in Star Trek, possibly the most beloved character in the sci-fi genre for several generations.

From our point of view, with our interest in the nature and history of money, the most interesting of these expressions is the resurgence of the phenomenon of “Spocking” in Canada.

As a Canadian I am shamed! I mean, our fiat paper currency is worth what…..15 – 16 cents which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than the USD. I encourage cartoon characters on our bills as well.

Forgot to mention, because our citizens watch mostly US television, we have no clue who is on our bills anyway. Might as well be Spock. Most could not name who is in our cabinets in our most important positions (myself included) because what they say is based on what is said south of the Border. I could however, name the bastards who are in important positions south of the Border!!! What does that tell you.

So yeah, I encourage Spocking, I would even like to see Beavis and Butthead, Perhaps Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson. Add a little color to our colourful fiat paper…Might be worth hanging onto then. Would make great trading “cards” after the collapse 🙂
