It’s a sad day for me. I’ve taken a job. Cast back into the matrix to make the bankers money.
I’ll be working with people with disabilities (pretty much my chosen profession). Although I consider it to be honorable work, I despise where my tax dollars go. At least it’s just part-time so I won’t be contributing too much to the delinquency of a government.
In order to work with these folks, I have to go through a background check. After filling out a form at the administration building, I ran into a case manager that I respect. I always appreciated her passive-aggressive stance towards the bureaucracy (the only way to rebel against the system and still retain your job) as well as her compassion towards her clients.
