Last year around this time I listed several things for which I was thankful.
There’s no shortage this year, either. Here they are, taken chronologically from news stories beginning in January.
I’m thankful the outgoing NYPD top cop called the department a “quasi-military organization.”
I’m thankful that half the requests for emergency food and hunger assistance come from people with full-time jobs.
I’m thankful the International Monetary Fund thinks we should confiscate wealth to solve the world’s debt problem.
