In response to John Boehner’s rhetoric against Barack Obama’s failed immigration policy, Iowa Rep. Steve King warns the House speaker that the foundation of his argument is faulty. During a recent radio interview with host Hugh Hewitt, Boehner doubled down on his assertion that the House could vote on new immigration policy next year.
After castigating Obama’s extensive use of executive orders, Boehner said there are a few prerequisites to presenting the issue to his congressional chamber.
“But if that were going to happen,” he said, “there are things that he should do, and things he should not do as we lead up to this.”
