Texas Governor Rick Perry Indicted…

by Tony Plohetski, Statesman:

A Travis County grand jury Friday indicted Gov. Rick Perry on two charges related to his effort last year to force District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign after her drunken driving arrest.

Grand jurors charged Perry, 64, with abuse of official capacity, a first-degree felony, and coercion of a public servant, a third-degree felony. The first charge carries a punishment of 5-99 years and a fine of up to $10,000. The second charge is punishable by 2-10 years and a fine of up to $10,000.

The indictment stems from Perry’s threat last summer to withhold $7.5 million in state money from Lehmberg’s office unless she step down – a threat he later carried out by vetoing an appropriation in the state budget.

Im rather amused on how they can pull this kind of BS, on a governer, yet, the seditious Islamic in the whitehouse gets away with compromising the security of the country on a daily basis, yet no ones charging him with BS from his threats ect he makes to many in the belt way, if he don’t get his way on things, that cost the nation , yet perry did nothing but make the point of if a person cannot show responsibility they should not be in the position of power this woman was in,

but if you happen to be one of the little hourly people in this nation , who gets bagged for dui, gee, they loose their job, period

This woman got a DUI. That is a bad thing, however, a lot of people get them and they don’t lose their jobs. Maybe this will be the wake-up event she needs to go to AA or rehab.

If the people of her county wanted her out they could hold a recall vote or just vote her out next time. It is not Rick Perry’s job to remove a prosecuting attorney or threaten to with-hold tax dollars from everyone in a county unless they quit a job they were duly elected to serve in.

Rick Perry pulled a Chris Christie level “dirty trick” to get even. Not because she got the DUI but because she didn’t do what he said. Tough beans. He deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for subverting the power of government to go after the people of an area because some other elected official didn’t follow his commands.

What, Perry attending a Bilderberg gathering some years back isn’t enough to protect him?
