Ferguson Chaos: Store Owners Arm themselves as Police do Nothing to Stop Looters from Burning Stores

from Off Grid Survival:

The chaos in Ferguson, Missouri is now out of control as rioters are attempting to burn and loot stores throughout the city. During the last couple of hours multiple stores have been looted and rioters have attempted to set a number of them on fire.

Store owners are arming themselves to protect their stores because police are now refusing to stop the rioters who are looting stores only feet away from where officers are standing. Two business owners, standing outside their business holding guns, told Fox2Now.com that they tried calling 911, but were sent from one police agency to another who refused to respond to their calls for help.

“Store Owners Arm themselves as Police do Nothing to Stop Looters from Burning Stores”

Those of us old enough to remember the Watts (LA) riots of August 1965 also remember the pictures of the Korean store owners standing on top of their store buildings armed with rifles and shotguns. The police did not dare confront thousands of violent rioters and looters at the time. But not a single store protected with guns in the hands of the owners got looted or burned. Not a shot was fired but the mere presence of these weapons in the hands of people determined not to be victims of crime was sufficient defense.

One of the dumbest comments came after the rioting, looting, and burning were all over, when a local resident complained about “not having a place to cash my welfare check”. Well, no chit Churlock! Maybe they should have THOUGHT of that BEFORE they torched so many businesses. A good number of these businesses moved from that area, fearing more of the same at some point in the future, and did not return.

Anyway, whenever the subject of “FEMA camps” comes up, I think about people rioting, looting, and burning the private property of others as PRIME candidates for such a place.
