oh boy, let me make a meal of this one!

First the history of this concept which does NOT date from the 1st Century but from the 11th Century, Pope Innocent 111, and is part and parcel of World domination by the Vatican.

Hence all the wars against Russia are because they are Orthodox Christians, Polish, Nappy, Hitler and now Ukraine. Also see the Cathar crusade

And the Fourth Crusade, carried out exactly because Orthodox Christians do not see the Pope as the Vicar of Christ. And keep in mind all the ancient Christian communities in the Middle East today who are being wiped off the face of the earth taking into account that they are not Roman Catholic but old Armenian communities and some are even the original Christian communities.

    (Luke 11:37-54)

1Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: 3All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. 8But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 9And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. 11But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

    Gospel of Thomas :
“The disciples said to Jesus, “We are aware that you will depart from us. Who will be our leader?” Jesus said to him, “No matter where you come it is to James the Just that you shall go, for whose sake heaven and earth have come to exist.”

This is an excellent study, I highly recommend it:

    James the Brother of Jesus

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’[e]”

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.”

it is quite simply direct knowledge of God as opposed to indirect knowledge and handing over you body and soul to a third earthly power.

This verse from Jeremiah 31 is also found in Isaiah. When they speak of Israel consider that at both times in history the 10 tribes had been scattered by the Assyrians. They went to Egypt, down through Africa, up into Greece and across into Europe and the UK. According to Steve Jones , “In the Blood God Genes and Destiny”

almost 75% of the world’s population can trace their DNA to these lost tribes, so theoretically speaking when we say “Israel” we are looking at the whole planet. As regards direct knowledge not only of God but of the law and Righteousness, we are looking at what can be regarded as a Constitution and Bill of Rights with due process and that everyone is aware of their rights under the law.Including Palestinians who at the moment have their homes destroyed, their Olive orchards ripped up and their land stolen. In this context, Righteousness is applicable to Just governance. Not trial by ordeal, detention without trial, or indefinite detention and arrest without a warrant and due process.

      A New Covenant
…33″But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34″They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” 35Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; The LORD of hosts is His name:…

      John 6:45
It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me.

This is a personal relationship. Both spiritually and politically and legally.

    I keep hearing all of this stuff about Jesus Christ, but, I have to ask this question;
according to the Christian gospels, did Jesus not predict that, after he ascended to heaven, that his followers (the saints) would perform his miracles and even greater miracles than the miracles that he perform? I also recall a claim that, if his followers had the faith as even size of a mustard seed, that they would be able to say to a mountain “move you over from this place, over to that place”?
Now, the main question is this; why aren’t all of the followers of Jesus, pooling
the power and might bestowed upon them by their Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost, to make a possitive difference upon this planet? I mean, Jesus, is god, right? and he
gave his followers (deciples) the power and authority to use his powers to make this world a better place? How is all of that truth working out for the Christians. I think we need to pray about this!

What he is saying is that the pope is not a Protestant, altogether not big news. Read your history of the reformation folks!
