A trade deal was made Saturday, five Taliban officials held at Guantanamo, for one American, Sgt. Bowe Berghdahl

According to reports, five ‘high risk’ Taliban officials, who were being held captive at Guantanamo Bay detention facility, Mohammed Nabi Omari, Mullah Mohammad Fazl, Mullah Norullah Noori, Abdul Haq Wasiq and Khairullah Khairkhwa, were released Saturday in exchange for one American, Sgt. Bowe Berghdahl, 28, who has been held captive by the Taliban since 2009.
The Obama Admin refers to the deal as ‘iron-clad’, reports say, highlighting how the U.S. makes an effort to bring all of its prisoners of war back home.
However, some are now questioning the Obama Administration’s judgement, as the five men which have been described by some as the most dangerous of all Taliban commanders, are now free to return to a life of terrorism after a one-year stay in Qatar.
