He has some good points but we’ve seen this tried many times in many ways.
It doesn’t work. Not unless we can harness the abundance of infinity and at that point, money or credit would be useless anyway.

There was absolutely nothing psychological about the creation of the Great Depression. That was orchestrated by the big NY banks via them hoarding money, which was gold at the time, and not making loans to worthy borrowers. When there is very little money in an economy, prices fall because each bit of money becomes scarce and therefore more valuable. The roaring 20s were created via massive inflation / credit / money expansion while the Great Depression was created via doing just the opposite. It is this whip-saw of inflation and then deflation that these big banks use to hammer the citizens into destitution and they seize property via tax sales and other means until no more can be wrung from them. At that point, the depression is ended because it is no longer profitable to maintain it.

Thomas Jefferson warned us of this over 200 years ago but few listened. Considering all the various “panics” and a few depressions too, are we ready to listen now? One can only hope!

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.” Thomas Jefferson
