DRY RUN? Power Cut Brings Londin to Standstill

London’s mayor called for an inquiry after a massive power cut caused “unprecedented” disruption to a quarter of a million people trying to get home during the London rush hour.

A National Grid failure caused hundreds of traffic lights to fail, and both mainline and Underground trains to come to a sudden halt, leaving thousands of passengers stuck in tunnels.

When power was finally restored and the transport network got moving again, many office workers had given up hope, and were spending the evening in pubs and bars.

    Sean, this event happened years ago, Boris Johnson has been mayor for about 4 years and the article refers to Ken Livingstone, the previous mayor, yet you have published it with the current date, implying that it is happening now. Is this not the type of propaganda that you rail against so strongly?
