What The Big Money Is Doing After The Fed’s Historic Decision

The actor Louis Burton Lindsey, Jr., is a name not familiar to many. However, his stage name as well as his voice are, Slim Pickens. Pickens turned a love of horses and an Oklahoma-Texas sounding voice into a career first as a rodeo clown and then as an actor in many memorable films. One of his best lines was in the outstanding comedy Blazing Saddles in 1974. During a scene in the movie, and in that distinctive cowboy drawl, Pickens blurted out “What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on here?”

We found ourselves expressing that very same sentiment on Friday. The week started out with everyone focused on the announcement after the two day Fed meeting on the issue of tapering. It was said to be the most important policy unveiling in the history of the Fed.
