MUST WATCH Weekend Viewing: The Secret World of Gold — in HD

[Ed. Note: Every minute of this is worth watching, but given the CFTC’s recent declaration that the silver market is not manipulated, you simply must not miss the portion of this program featuring Andrew Maguire, which begins at 25:30.]

from CBC and H2, via Stan Malhotra:

GOLD is a chemical element with the symbol Au and atomic number 79. It is a dense, soft, malleable, and ductile metal with a bright yellow color and luster that is considered attractive, which is maintained without tarnishing in air or water. And it has been real money for 5,000 years.

  • This is a little aged not by several months…. I am pretty sure this is a repost…. but still a good view….. regardless of the truths it does not matter….. the CFTC is not going to do anything as the government has the right to manipulate ALL markets to insure economic stability…. so things are not going to change in respect of the markets, & the PM sector for a while you can bank on that….. these things take more time to reach maturity & the boys in power will fight tooth & nail to drive this out as long as they can!! I think the only things that would change things on a dime or move it along is confidence & right now there is still WAY too much confidence in the US….. views are slowly changing around the world but not in the US……. people still actually believe in the DXY as a sound form of money the masses…. until that changes the manipulation will continue…. I would also not be surprise to see the GLD & SLV funds close before the break…. as these are pretty new funds started up in 2006 & I am of the opinion that these where started to cap or control the price in the PM sector…. take it for what it’s worth…

The HMS Emerald was an “E” class cruiser, sister tot he HMS Enterprise. Neither were sister ships to the HMS Belfast. The HMS Belfast’s sister ship was the HMS Edinburgh. She also did a gold run for the Russians for which she received a torpedo.

It is good to see programming like this on tv. Was this a history channel or a discovery channel show I can’t remember.

Anyway, any chance to wake people up is good. I still believe silver is better. Gold is beautiful but silver is useful. If I need something that is really valuable for when the fake fiat debt notes inevitably die, then I would rather have something that will make a solar panel, kill cancer cells without damaging surrounding healthy cells, keep my water from going bad, etc.

Just look. The comex can’t possibly deliver all of the orders that they’ve promised at these prices. Better get yours now before they run out. Last chance. LAST CHANCE! I don’t know. I will stack some of those Silver Reichsmarks minted by the Third Reich. I have never had a problem flipping that stuff when I find it. All of the mint state stuff that I find I keep for little old me.

First Germany, then Venezuela, then Finland and now Texas has demanded to get their gold…the run on gold is just beginning…

I dont mind the paper trading, but the contracts MUST BE backed with physical…this is so wrong and criminal what they are doing at the comex…totally illegal!

OK, its a decent video. But without any mention of Bretton Woods, the French repatriation of gold from the US in 1969 or Nixon closing the gold window in 1971 (partially because Germany was requesting its gold WAY BACK THEN), it is certainly lacking in some very important recent historical contexts.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the assassination of Kennedy after the signing of EO 11110 and the coinage act that was signed by LBJ in 1964.
