9/11 in 60 Seconds: Mass Trauma That Shocked the National Mind

Words of terror, shock, horror and loss were all broadcast with full impact into the collective minds of viewers in America and around the world on a day twelve years ago that continues to haunt us.

“Unbelievable.” “Horrible.” “Catastrophe.” “Collapsed.” “Blown up.” “Fire.” “Terrorist.” “Terror alert.” “Terrorist attack.” “World trade attack.” “Car bombing.” “So many attacks.” “Screaming.” “Crying.” “Tragic.” “Horrific scene.” “Thousands of injuries.” “Jumping from windows.” “Casualty.” “Death.”

These phrases and others were uttered – and repeated – in reaction to and in concert with deeply disturbing footage of planes crashing into the Twin Towers, massive buildings collapsing down into thunderous disaster and thousands of people dying live on TV – all replayed over and over again.
