WikiLeaks on Manning verdict: Journalism is NOT “Treason”

from Russia Today:

A US military judge has found Army private Bradley Manning “not guilty” of aiding the enemy. However, he was found guilty of 19 remaining charges, meaning that he still faces the possibility of up to 136 years behind bars. RT talks to Wikileaks spokesperson Kristinn Hrafnsson on the verdict and its outcome.

The Ministry of Peace concerns itself with war, the Ministry of Truth with lies, the Ministry of Love with torture and the Ministry of Plenty with starvation. These contradictions are not accidental , nor do they result from from ordinary hypocrisy: they are deliberate exercises in doublethink.

I have this pessimistic expectation that Bradley Manning will still be in jail as Obama slinks out of the white house and the Teleprompter in Chief will pardon and bankers or campaign donors somehow in jail but leave Bradley Manning there. Because he’s just that much of a superficial asshole to not care about doing justice to someone like Bradley Manning.
