It seems Canada’s government “statisticians” are taking lessons in fiction-writing from their U.S. neighbours. I couldn’t even force myself to report this absurd number yesterday, but seeing this Bloomberg hype I see that some commentary is essential:
Canada Posts Biggest Job Gain in a Decade on Construction — Does anyone (living in Canada) really believe that the economy is (at the moment) booming more than any other time in the past decade? Not if they ever look out their windows.
Supposedly Canada’s economy created 95,000 new jobs in the month of May alone. This would be the equivalent of the U.S. claiming to have produced 1 MILLION new jobs in a single month. In comparison; the fraudulent U.S. jobs-number for May only claimed 170,000 new jobs (in its own robust “recovery”) — less than 1/5th the rate of supposed jobs-creation in Canada.
