South Africa based Gold Fields produced 477,000 equivalent attributable ounces of gold, down by 11 percent, in the last quarter of 2012-13.
In a statement Gold Fields said it’s production dropped 11 percent to 477‚000 equivalent attributable ounces in the quarter ended March 2013 as anticipated‚ compared with 534‚000oz in the December 2012 quarter.
Net earnings from continuing operations for the March 2013 quarter were R236 million compared with R376 million in the December 2012 quarter and R381 million in the March 2012 quarter.
