by Kerry Picket, Breitbart:
“I don’t have information on that,” Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis told Breitbart News at the Friday evening presser when asked if the three individuals who reportedly were taken into custody may have aided and abetted suspected marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, as he evaded authorities following Monday’s double bomb explosions at the Boston Marathon. Tsarnaev was captured by authorities on Friday night.
According to reports, three people in New Bedford were detained by the FBI for questioning regarding their connection to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Authorities executed a search warrant of an apartment complex in the New Bedford Area on Friday. Tsarnaev was a sophomore at UMass Dartmouth College, CBS News reports, and may have friends in the complex. As of Saturday, Fox News reports, the three people in custody have not been released.
According to a witness, Tsarnaev may have been with a male taken into custody today. “They said the kid got dropped off by the bomber at 4 p.m. yesterday I heard the FBI say,” said Joe St. Pierre.
Witnesses say another male and a female were also put in a cruiser and driven away by New Bedford police. “They used a bullhorn and said ‘come out, we’re not going to hurt you,’” said witness Dave Ryhmszewizc. “They seemed scared and didn’t want to come out at first.”
Colonel Timothy Alben of the Massachusetts State Police remained quiet about the issue earlier in the day when he told Breibart News at a noon presser, “Well, I think that goes towards the investigation. I don’t want to discuss the investigation.”
