Hyperinflation Warning? Britons should brace themselves for ‘massive’ food price hikes

Britain’s recent food price rises are “just the tip of the iceberg,” and consumers should brace themselves for “massive” hikes in some commodities this year, the managing director of Waitrose has warned.

from The Telegraph:

Mark Price said food price inflation would rise further as the heavy rainfall last year meant that many farmers did not plant crops for 2013.

Mr Price told the Sun: “We’re seeing input food inflation of around 3 to 3.5pc, but we expect it go up to as much as five.

“In some commodities, the increases will be massive,” he added.

“It’s bread, vegetables, all produce. The apple crop was down 20 to 30 per cent so apple prices have to go up. You have only seen the tip of the iceberg,” said Mr Price.

people don’t realize that when frn’s are worthless a silver dime will get your family something that you need. People, you must learn to negotiate/barter for things that you need to survive. You need to have tangible items to bring to the table.

Quit thinking globally, that is what they want…think locally. Learn how to communicate with others like you. Learn how to talk to people, throw that fucking text shit away and learn to talk to people face to face.

The bastards that have destroyed the system want you to think that you are dependant on the rest of the world…bs…learn to live and get things within 30 miles of your home…smaller if you can. If you can do that, then expand.

$30 dollar silver is a gift from heaven
