I just flipped on the TV this late Saturday evening and took a brief glance at the guide to see what’s on which led me to a episode of ‘Doomsday Preppers’ on National Geographic Channel. Although I’d heard about it, I’ve never seen it before. I’m posting Part 2 of the episode I am watching right now so you can see the portion I just watched – as I write this. Fast forward to the 9:00 minute mark to see where I started watching. The narrator in this show repeatedly mentions “total economic collapse and chaos” as one of the primary reasons these folks “prep”, which probably makes them ‘Extremists’ in the eyes of the U.S. government. Not sure if this is ‘predictive programming’ or ‘educational’ television, maybe it’s both. But one thing’s for sure, these folks are a helluva lot more prepared – for whatever comes – than most Americans.
Ya, I watched this episode a few months back. I liked the silver part of it. I’m prepped, but not to the extent of those folks. The guy at the compound with all the food is the guy I have e-mailed back and forth asking about how I can prepare my food supply. He is extreme, but you can learn a lot from a person like him. Thumbs up! It beat American Idol any day!
Im screwed. I have lots of silver, but what good is that when I’m dead. Thanks for sharing. We are watching this as a family. Any have a link tot the full episode? TIA

Sean……I think I sent you info. on S.Prepper and Eng.775 last year….I have been following them for over a year, and their many youtube videos are a huge help in bettering my preps here. This is a great Nat. Geo. series, as it shows preppers as being very intelligent, rational, and not some crazzies wearing tin-foil hats.

What struck me the most, was that all of these peepz still do have jobs. Does that mean that the other unemployed will be the trouble makers ? If you do have a lot of money to go out and prep on the same way that these guys are, you will probably have to act now. By the way I have noticed that the “alternative money” like junk silver didn’t quite make the 90% mark I was expecting (more about 60% if I recall right). I guess that means if you have lots of silver or PM’s and no way to defend it you’re done.
The season started on tuesday, and I can only find the same videos posted here. Does anyone have a link to the new season?
